Procreate

I've been drawing since I was in elementary school, but took the leap to digital art in 8th grade. Part of what had been holding me back for so long was that I didn't have a tablet or stylus, but after feeling very inspired one day seeing posts from my favorite artists, I decided that I would bite the bullet and start by drawing with my finger on my touchscreen Chromebook.

I received a lot of encouragement from my family to join art contests for fun — and my finger-drawn art even got selected to be made into a special-edition Black History Month San Diego Public Library Card. After three years of drawing with my finger, I entered an art contest and drew a four-page comic by hand digitally, and ended up winning 1st place and an iPad and Apple Pencil in 11th grade! Ever since then, I have been using Procreate as my primary medium to draw (but shoutout to Infinite Painter and Autodesk Sketchbook, my original loves).

(P.S. If you make it to the bottom of my feed, try to spot where I stopped drawing with my finger and when I got my iPad!)

A 'draw this in your style' (DTIYS) challenge that I participated in for a friend, of her original character (OC) Luna!
A redraw of my OC Eos, a goddess of dawn and dusk.
A wedding gift for a cousin.
'Abhinaya', a gift for my cousin's bharatanatyam Arangetram
A small class doodle that evolved into a (rare) color illustration!
A halloween DTIYS challenge; I'm a fan of how the rendering on this turned out.
Another DTIYS challenge; wanted to practice stylizing environments, so thought a beach would make a perfect backdrop for this summer girl.
A MerMay challenge! The prompt was 'Caramel Milk Boba,' so I thought it would be cute if a mermaid was literally blowing up the 'bubbles' in bubble tea.
